اليوم عيد العمال، لكن بوش الرأسمالي اختاره ليعلن انتهاء مهمته في العراق mission accomplished في تلك الصورة الدعائية وهو يرتدي زي طيار محارب يهبط على حاملة طائرات واقفة على الرصيف ! المغني الأمريكي نيل يانج Neil Young خلد تلك المهمة بأغنية ضد الحرب بعنوان (الصدمة والترويع) استمعوا اليها :

وكنا قد ذكرنا مهمة بوش الحقيقية التي تمت في العراق هنا. وحين نعرف أن المهمة كانت تسليم ثروات العراق الى الشركات الإحتكارية التي مولت الحرب ، نفهم أن اختيار 1 آيار كان مناسبا جدا.
